** Varian DS42 pump is obsolete and has been replaced with DS40M **

Operating Temperature Range:

Permissible ambient temperature during operation: 12 - 40°C [54 - 104°F]

Applications:

  • Suitable for pumping non corrosive gases
  • Typically used as a foreline vacuum pump to create low vacuum that then goes through a turbo pump to create the necessary vacuum.
  • Mass Spectrometry

Oil Capacity: 0.6 liter

Oil Compatibility: Varian DS31 is equivalent to our Plus 19

Suggested Maintenance Schedule:

  • Monthly: Check oil levels
  • Twice Yearly: Clean inlet filter

Varian DS42 vs Agilent DS42

  • Different shaft sizes = different coupling
